This senior portrait session was an extra-special one for me because this soon-to-be-senior is my nephew. I’m struggling to understand how he went from this…
to this in just a few short years.
Nevertheless, here we are. He will be graduating next year and heading to college after that. (Note to self – next time you’re photographing a graduating family member, don’t mention the fact that he will be leaving for college soon. Knowing how weepy you can get, you just might tear up and get some blurry shots because you’re wiping away your tears. Lesson learned.)
We took many of these images at a small historical village. That was his mom’s suggestion and it was a great one. There were so many old rustic buildings to choose from.
We got a few shots with his mom, too. When we took the shots in front of the white barn, we were just experimenting and they were laughing the whole time, but I think they turned out pretty cute.
I know this is just the beginning of a lot of fun senior year stuff for my nephew. He’s a great guy with a good head on his shoulders and I’m excited to see where God will lead him.
